Maria & Enzo’s

There are so many choices of places to eat at Disney Springs, it takes a while to enjoy them all. Recently, I went over to Maria & Enzo’s for the first time. I wanted to give it a try after enjoying the Enzo’s Hideaway and the server sharing that the dish I had was also served at Maria & Enzo’s, but it’s just a bit different.

We grabbed a quick lunch reservation and headed over to give it a try. We were one of the first people into the restaurant. The restaurant inside is very nice, and has a great view over the lake.

The most disappointing part of the meal is that there is no gluten-free bread available. That is the one thing that I wish they would add to the menu. It is always nice to have some bread with the meal. But no gluten-free bread options.

The menu does not designate anything that is gluten-free. It only says gluten-free pasta is available on request. The server acknowledged that most everything can be gluten-free, but there is a risk of cross contamination. If you are celiac, you better keep this in mind!

I ordered the Torchio Alle Verdure with grilled chicken added to it. The gluten-free pasta was cooked perfectly and was delicious. The Calabrian chili’s gave a nice spicy kick to the sauce. Obviously, the bread crumbs were removed to remain gluten-free. The chicken was thin chicken slices and grilled perfectly.

This is not a meal to take lightly, not even at lunch! It was extremely filling and absolutely delicious. On the hottest of days, this meal might be too heavy to enjoy. Thankfully, we were leaving right after eating and the heat wasn’t an issue.

If you are at Disney Springs and want a bigger meal that’s extremely tasty, check out Maria & Enzo’s. It’s a great spot and I will definitely be back!
