I love going to Disney Springs because there are so many great options for dining gluten-free. Years ago, I had eaten at Morimoto Asia, but had not been here since I had to make the switch to gluten-free. So we dropped by not long ago to enjoy lunch.
The restaurant quickly fills up with reservations most days, and once you see some of the food inside, you’ll know why. Award winning food fills the menu. But that is not to say that the menu is full of gluten-free options. There are certainly options, but there are limits here compared to many other places.
The red circles on the menu show what can be gluten free. On this visit, I decided to share some edamame with my son and then order the Morimoto Gomoku Fried Rice.
The edamame was excellent. Plenty of salt and they were steamed perfectly. They didn’t last long as we ate them quickly! The fried rice was good also, but to be honest, it was a little bland. Plenty of vegetables and meat mixed throughout, but there just wasn’t a lot of flavor overall.
That isn’t to say I would not order it again. But I would strongly consider some other options on the menu if I found something that was a little appealing.
Obviously timing of the day can give different options here, but this is an overview of weekend lunch. It’s worth the visit and everyone in my family loved their meal overall. Enjoy Morimoto Asia and the experience it brings!
