Recently, we made a trip over to Disney’s Wilderness Lodge to visit Whispering Canyon Cafe. Whispering Canyon is one of our favorite all you can eat locations at Disney, and they offer a breakfast and lunch/dinner option. This visit, we went to enjoy breakfast.
The menu has all the allergen options on it. As always, Disney does an excellent job highlighting what is gluten-free, or avoids other key allergens. Combine excellent gluten-free food with a fun, entertaining atmosphere and you get a great combination!
I ordered The Heritage, an all-you-can-eat skillet meal. If you order the gluten-free option, it comes separate from everyone else. I absolutely love the gluten-free waffles that you get as part of this meal.
Another great thing is the sausage gravy. The white toast is the normal gluten-free white toast that Disney offers. The sausage gravy lacks a little flavor, but with some pepper it tastes pretty good.
This is perhaps my favorites breakfast at Disney just because it is consistent and you get a lot of options. My least favorite thing on the plate is the eggs. They are always a little runny and I am not a fan of runny eggs. But that’s personal preference, not that there is anything wrong with the eggs. The potatoes are great also!
If you have the option to enjoy breakfast here, DO IT! You will not regret it. The atmosphere at this restaurant and the staff always make it one of the most enjoyable experiences.
