Sprinkles has been at Disney Springs for quite some time. It is not exclusive to Disney Springs, however. They have locations in 7 states and Washington, DC as of this writing. I was introduced to Sprinkles long before I started having to eat gluten-free, visiting their location in New York. Now that I am gluten-free, I am so glad they are around!
Outside the store, and to the right of the main door is a cupcake ATM, where you can walk up and order without going inside the store. Inside, there isn’t much to see. They have self-service kiosks and a nice large menu board. After you order, they call your name to pick up your order at the end. There is a nice seating area outside if you want to eat your goodies while you are there.
On this visit, there were two gluten-free options. In the past, they have had large gluten-free cookies. This time, the cookies were smaller cookie bites. I did not try those on this trip. I had the red velvet cupcake. The menu shares other items, such as vegan or sugar-free. They do not list any other allergens on their main menu.
The cupcake was extremely moist and fresh tasting. It wasn’t too dense, tasting more like a regular cake than some gluten-free cakes that I have had. The icing was delicious. It was sweet, but not overly sweet. It was a great balance.
Sprinkles is another great option for gluten-free sweets at Disney Springs that will certainly hit the spot!
