There are a lot of restaurant choices over at Pointe Orlando. Taverna Opa is located on the second floor on the backside of Pointe Orlando. It sells itself as the top rated Greek restaurant in the area.
After visiting another location in the area, I saw the menu outside the restaurant had a lot of gluten-free options. So I made note and a quick reservation to visit. The restaurant has tons of seating inside with some outside dining options as well.

The menu offers a great selection of gluten-free options, including gluten-free pita! That was the first thing that I ordered. I haven’t had pita in forever, so being able to have this was amazing. The pita was served warm and it was extremely soft.
I couldn’t help but order the saganaki as well. It is perhaps my favorite Greek appetizer, and it pairs perfectly with pita. The saganaki was extremely good. It was flamed table side in the normal custom and served on a warm skillet. Amazing flavor!

For my meal, I ordered the slow-roasted lamb from the traditional menu. It was served with lemon potatoes and marinated green beans. The potatoes melted in your mouth and the lemon was not so strong that it hurt the flavor. The green beans were delicious as well. They were extremely well done and tender.
The lamb was roasted perfectly. The seasoning on the lamb made it extremely tasty and it was perhaps the best lamb I have had at a Greek restaurant in quite a while. So tender and delicious.
You should make a reservation as I hear it gets extremely busy in the evenings with music and dancing. After my experience, I am positive that the food will not disappoint. The staff knew gluten-free options very well and I wasn’t concerned about any issues. You may want to ask a few additional questions if you are celiac, but I feel it they will easily accommodate.
