Rocco’s Tacos

The restaurant scene around Central Florida is absolutely amazing with so many different places to choose from. One of those places is Rocco’s Tacos, located in the Dr Phillips area of Orlando. I did some research online and decided it was time to pay Rocco’s a visit.

We arrived not long after the restaurant opened for lunch. The location is very busy at night, but offers convenient reservations on Open Table. We were seated quickly and I had a great opportunity to review all the options on the menu. They offered a brunch menu, but still had much of their normal menu available to choose from.

The chips are a cross-contamination concern here, so beware. They do not have a dedicated fryer. The chips and salsa were delicious. I chose to try two of their tacos and the elotes. They offer the elotes on and off the cob, so you are able to choose either way.

I chose to try the pollo and carne molida tacos. They were on corn tortilla’s and were delicious!

While the food was delicious, if you have celiac you will certainly want to be careful. The staff wasn’t as aware of gluten allergies as we spoke. They relied heavily on the menu and couldn’t answer a lot about concerns.

That said, Rocco’s is a great place with several food options to choose from. You should definitely try it if you can!
