Among all the dining options at Disney Springs is Frontera Cocina. I have often read mixed reviews about it over the time it has been open. In fact, I visited some time ago after it opened and was very disappointed. When some friends decided they wanted to visit, I thought this was a great opportunity to give it a second chance.
I’m glad I did! Most of the menu is available gluten-free. The items that are gluten-free are not marked on the menu. you will need to talk to a server about it. The server knew the menu very well on our visit, making recommendations and helping me navigate the menu with any questions that I had.

I had the grilled chicken al pastor tacos, which came with corn tortillas and a full bowl of chicken. Another meal that was on our table was the creamy chicken enchiladas suiza. They looked delicious as well, but I was full after having the chips and salsa we ordered as an appetizer.

There were a lot of options as I talked with the server to enjoy. Of note, the restaurant is not a gluten-free certified facility. There is certainly risk for cross contamination. That is limited though, since most of the restaurant is already gluten-free. They also state they will take precautions for allergens to help.
There might be more amazing choices to enjoy at Disney Springs, but there is nothing wrong with Frontera Cocina. It’s a great meal and a unique alternative to some of the more traditional options at Disney Springs.
