City Works

At Disney Springs, there are quite a few great options for dining. On the side closest to the Orange parking garage and the surface parking is City Works. They have a pretty large inside dining area and even a patio dining area to enjoy, if you want to watch the people of Disney Springs.

Items that are acceptable for gluten-sensitive individuals are marked on the regular menu. In speaking with the staff, they are NOT able to accommodate any cross-contamination concerns. So if you have extreme sensitivity, you will probably want to stay away from this one. If it’s just a need to remain gluten free, but you are not as sensitive to cross-contamination, there are some good options!

On this visit, we tried the Buffalo Chicken Dip as an appetizer. The dip was surprisingly spicy, so beware. I love spicy food, but this one sort of caught me off guard! The dish is marked as acceptable for gluten-sensitive and they do make sure it’s noted on the order as needing to be gluten-free. So while they are unable to prevent cross contamination, perhaps they do take some steps to protect?

For my main dish, I had the ribs. These ribs were excellent! Plenty of meat and a great smoky flavor to them. The baked bbq beans and the corn were excellent sides. I cannot complain as both had great flavor and were enjoyable.

There are other sides to choose from here. On a separate trip, I had the cole slaw as a side. I wasn’t as impressed with the cole slaw. I prefer a more creamy cole slaw, but this was pretty bland overall.

City Works has a great dinner menu, but also offers a brunch menu on the weekends. There was not as many options for brunch to remain gluten free. For dinner, this is an excellent option overall, provided the potential risk of cross contamination isn’t a concern for you.
