Raglan Road – Brunch

Raglan Road is probably my favorite restaurant of all the Disney area restaurants. A lot of people will go here for the drinks, but the gluten-free food options are simply amazing here! What I’ve learned in all my trips is that this restaurant is not owned by Disney. Everything in the kitchen is scratch made and they do all that they can to prevent cross contamination. They have dedicated fryers for all gluten-free items. The only cross contamination risk is that the fryers use the same filtration system, so be aware of that!

The servers and managers are all pretty knowledgeable about the menu and what can be done to make most anything gluten free. On our most recent trip, we went for brunch. I wasn’t able to enjoy a lot of the breakfast items, since they do not have gluten-free waffles or pancakes. But there was no shortage of things that I could enjoy!

For a starter, I ordered the banana bread. While it doesn’t show as gluten-free on the menu, the banana bread here is gluten free. It was quite tasty and even my son who isn’t gluten free really enjoyed it.

As an appetizer, we ordered the Nom Nom wings. Normally I would stay away, but I was able to confirm these are entirely gluten free. They use gluten-free soy sauce (be aware for soy allergens). They also quickly shared that they use Bob’s Red Mill Gluten-free flour to dredge the wings. To be honest, the wings were the highlight of the meal for me. They were delicious!

I ordered the OMG burger as my main meal. I probably shouldn’t have since I was stuffed after having several wings. The burger came on the Udi’s gluten free bun. It doesn’t say gluten-free on the menu, but aside from the bun, the only alteration to make it gluten-free is the removal of the fried onions.

But have no fear, Raglan Road has a solution for this also! Bring in the gluten-free onion rings! While I’ve had some other gluten-free onion rings, these are by far my favorite. They were very crispy, cooked perfectly, and weren’t greasy.

The server also shared that if you like the onion rings, that you can order them gluten-free at Cooke’s walk-up outside the main restaurant. She also shared that if you call 2 days prior to a reservation, they can also make a gluten-free bread pudding dessert. They are unable to make it unless requested 2 days in advance, but what a cool option to have!

I have never had a terrible meal here, but these wings and the gluten-free onion rings made my day. The burger was delicious, but I cannot say enough about the wings and onion rings. Such a treat that I’ve missed for some time!
