At Disney’s Grand Floridian, there are several dining options that you can enjoy. It is such an amazing resort to visit just to see all the great things inside, let alone enjoying a great meal! One of the popular choices here is 1900 Park Fare. Recently, the family and I decided to head over and enjoy a meal.
After checking in for our meal, we only had to wait about 10 minutes to be seated. 1900 Park Fare is an all you can eat buffet. So while food may be gluten-free, I saw many instances where cross-contamination could be an issue. Unfortunately, most people aren’t careful about potential allergens!
As we sat down, I was given the gluten-free guide for the buffet. The guide is very clear about what is gluten-free and many other allergens. See both sides of the menu below.

The bread provided was the normal gluten-free rolls at most Disney restaurants. I found the buffet had several choices that I did enjoy. There were a few items that I skipped that were near some gluten-containing items. I saw some cross contamination that had me a little concerned.

While there were several choices on the buffet, I do have to say I was underwhelmed. After one trip, I had mostly tried all the gluten-free items that were on the buffet. Then, I was informed that there were no other dessert options aside from the buffet.
Looking through the menu, there was only one option really. It was a toasted coconut cake. I am not a coconut fan, so I skipped. The crispy treats that were listed were quickly out, as I saw so many people using one set of utensils to pick up all sorts of desserts. Most of the crispy treats had pieces of cake and other gluten-containing items on them. I usually love having dessert at Disney restaurants, so this was extremely disappointing.
For what food I had, it was well done overall. But I don’t feel that I received my money’s worth at this buffet. The character experience was great and the service was great as well. I just don’t feel that it was worth the price I paid for the few things I was interested in eating.
