Being from North Carolina, I have always loved barbecue. You will often find me looking for the best barbecue around Central Florida. I was introduced to Mission BBQ many years ago, and was excited when I found one here in Orlando! There are several locations across Central Florida, so chances are you may be near one too!
After we entered, I quickly asked if they had a gluten-free menu. The service team quickly found the menu in a book by the register and gave it to me so I could look at it. I was able to get a picture so everyone could see the menu below.

As I ordered, the crew stated this specific order was gluten-free. I watched the staff change gloves and handle the order with care. While I’m certain there is some cross-contamination risk, it was nice to see they did take extra precautions for my order!
There are several meat options, side options, and thankfully sauce options. It’s worth noting that they share some of the sauces may have soy which could be exposed to wheat. I asked specifically about the Tupelo Honey Heat, and was told I wouldn’t have any concern or risk. I love spicy sauces so I was excited!
I ordered the turkey with a side of baked beans. It’s hard to find baked beans that are gluten-free and taste like actual baked beans. They were tasty as they were, but I did add a little of the honey heat sauce to them to spice them up. Just a small bit and they tasted perfect!

I was pleasantly surprised at how much turkey I was given. The turkey was moist and was better than I have gotten in some other restaurants. Sometimes smoked meat isn’t kept as warm as I would like, but that wasn’t the case here.
The service was excellent here as well. They approached our table multiple times asking if we needed anything or if they could get us anything. I cannot complain about our experience at all. While there are several options for barbecue in the area, this is one of my favorites among the chain restaurants!
